Beacon Race Privacy Policy
At Beacon Race, we take visitor privacy extremely seriously. We are aware of the impact of spam emails and will never contribute to increasing the amount of unwanted messages you receive. Any information we collect from you — whether through emails you send to us or via event entries — will only ever be shared with our trusted race partners. Please note that no information is collected unless you provide it to us directly. You can be confident that your data is safe with us.
This Privacy Policy explains how Beacon Race collects and uses your information, and how you can control or influence this. Beacon Race is a company established in England.
We may collect different types of information about you through your use of our website in order to process requests and orders, to provide a more personalised online experience, and to improve the services we offer. This may also involve the use of cookies and similar technologies.
If you have any questions or require further information regarding this Privacy Policy, please contact us.
Consent

Information We Collect
The personal information requested from you, and the reasons for requesting it, will always be made clear at the point of collection. For example, when purchasing a Beacon Race event entry through our registration system, you will be asked to provide information for each participant. This ensures that we can confirm and manage your entry. Participants will also receive event-related communications regardless of their marketing preferences.
Those completing an order may opt in to receive marketing updates about products, services, offers, and news. Marketing preferences can be changed at any time, and you may unsubscribe from marketing communications whenever you wish.
If you contact us directly, we may collect additional information such as your name, email address, phone number, message content, attachments, and any other details you choose to provide.
When registering for an account, you may be asked for contact details such as your name, company name, address, email, and telephone number.

Log Files
Beacon Race follows industry-standard practices for log files, which record visitors when they access websites. These logs include IP addresses, browser types, ISPs, time stamps, referring/exit pages, and click counts. This information is used solely for analysing trends, administering the site, tracking usage, and gathering demographics. It is not linked to personally identifiable data.
Cookies and Web Beacons
Like most websites, Beacon Race uses cookies to store information such as visitor preferences and the pages accessed. This helps us optimise your user experience by tailoring content to your browser type and usage.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to better understand how users interact with our website. It collects anonymous information through first-party cookies, generating reports that help us improve our services. These reports do not identify individual users.
Data may also be combined with other cookies (such as Google advertising cookies) to deliver relevant advertising.
Social Media Cookies
When you share content via social media, the platform records this activity, which may be linked to advertising and targeting. Our website is hosted by Wix, which we also use to sell event entries. Data collected during transactions is securely stored by Wix and used to fulfil services (e.g., processing an event entry). Event entry details may be transferred to Results Base (for event timing), including name, date of birth, gender, and chosen distance. Data may also be transferred to MailerLite for event communications and, with consent, marketing.
